Founded in 2025 by Edom Belete with funding from the British Council Ethiopia and Culture Club, the Addis Literature Festival (ALF) is a premier platform for fostering global literary dialogue. Rooted in Ethiopia's rich tradition of oral and written storytelling, ALF provides a distinguished venue where acclaimed authors, forward-thinking intellectuals, and international audiences convene. Together, they examine the transformative power of literature across geographical and generational boundaries.

Over three memorable days, the festival reimagines Addis Ababa as a dynamic centre of literary activity, uniting readers, writers, artists, and local communities. Through thought-provoking panel discussions, performances, and collaborative exchanges, distinguished Ethiopian and international figures gather to explore culture, identity, and contemporary issues.
